Year after year after year, Apples iPhonehas always had the most powerful chip in any smartphone, and thats something we canexpect Apple to brag about at every iPhone event. And in the past couple of years, Appleschips have gotten so good that the latest Android telephones like the Pixel 6 Pro are beingbeaten out by two-year-old iPhones like the iPhone 11 in numerous tests, which is absolutelyridiculous! And the result gets even crazier when comparinggraphics performance, with the 13 Pro being almost twice as fast! But within the last couple of weeks, somenew challengers in the smartphone chip game have risen, namely the brand-new Snapdragon 8Gen 1 and the Mediatek 9000, which are taking the tech world by hurricane! So in this video, Im gonna talk about whyApple should be worried about these two brand-new chips, because if they dont act fast andfix the current BIGGEST problem with the iPhones chip design, then the iPhone 14 Pro is gonnabe in immense trouble. So before I get into those new chips and howtruly superb then there, causes talk about something else major question! With last years iPhone 12 Pro, we noticedmajor overheating matters, specially while gaming, which would cause the display to dimlike crazy in plays like Genshin Impact, and it would even cause the FPS to put, whichsignals severe thermal throttling. And we even had these major issues while notplaying games, like when Max was trying to operate his monotone outside, generating displaydimming so bad that Max hurtled his droning because he couldnt watch “whats going on”! And thankfully, this year, it got a lot better, like in this hands-on comparison where we led some benchmarks, indicating just how badthe dimming was on the iPhone 12 lineup. And because of that, the same exact A1 4 chipfrom the iPhone 12 was actually 6% faster in terms of multi-core performance when insidethe iPad Air 4, which can only be explained by Apple capping the performance so it wontoverheat! But wait..It go even worse in terms of graphicsperformance because the iPad Air 4 was an utterly moronic 37% faster than the iPhone1 2 Pro Max, and yes, thats with the SAME A14 chip! Now thankfully, the new A15 chip in the iPhone1 3 lineup controls heat a Quantity better, and in my experience, the showing no longer dimsin a lot of the common competitions I tested like Call of duty mobile, League of fictions wildrift, and pokemon unite. However, I recently made a video where I playedGenshin Impact and Pascals wager with 120 FPS mode turned on to take advantage of the new1 20 hz Promotion piece on the brand-new iPhone 13 Pro. And the question I experienced was that the displaystill dimmed just after 10 hours in Genshin Impact, and it dimmed twice in Pascalswager, going particularly dark from overheating! And the worst part of all was that the iPhonessoftware was doing something weird where it would hop back and forth between 120 FPS and6 0FPS without allowing anything in between, which was very annoying. So what I did was test Razers brand-new MagSafephone cooler to cool the back on the iPhone and it manipulated like a DREAM, with absolutelyzero showing dimming in either of video games and after a 10 instant moved of Pascals wager, the hottest spot on the iPhone was just 37 severities Celsius compared to 44 stages withoutthe phone cooler And when we compared the final results, ouraverage FPS rose by 10% where there is the cool, which basically proves that the brand-new A15 chipis being held back by overheating publishes. And if youre wondering just how much itsbeing held back by, its actually a good deal! The A14 chip within the iPad Air 4 scoresas much as 12,488 spots in Geekbench 5s metal measure, which is actually quite a bitfaster than the 4-core account of the brand-new A15 chip in the iPhone 13, which honestlyshould never happen, but it does because of thermal throttling. Its only the 5-core GPU version of theA1 5 within the 13 Pro that overpowers out the iPad Air, but exclusively by around 15%. But the disappointing thing is that if youjust computed another core to the A14 chip within the iPad Air to match the 5 cores on the A15, it would actually outperform it by a huge margin. So the point that Im trying to represent isthat the# 1 thing thats holding back the performance of Apples iPhone chips is overheatingand thermal throttling. And meanwhile, a lot of Android telephones likethe Galaxy S2 1 Ultra are already implementing vapor chamber cooling systems that greatlyhelp control the thermals, and thats why the back remained cool and the showing didntdim at all while playing Genshin Impact. So with all of that said, Apple absolutelyNEEDS some sort of a vapor cavity cooling system inside of the iPhone 14 Pro or theyregonna hit a performance WALL and get overrun by the competition .. And let me tell you, these recent benchmarks from the brand-new Snapdragon 8 gen 1 and the Mediatek 9000 should makeApple obsessed, so tells climb right into that. While that brand-new Snapdragon chip isnt cominganywhere close to Apple in terms of CPU benchmark scores, the graphics back of the microchip is incredible! Harmonizing to a new standard testing videoby TechNick on YouTube, the brand-new chipping was actually able to outperform the A1 5 in 3DMarks WildLife benchmark, which is mind-blowing because the iPhone was already almost twice as fastas the competition. So I gaped up some more experiments online andto my surprise, the new Snapdragon 8 gen 1 was almost neck and neck with the brand-new iPhone1 3 Pro, which is something that hasnt happened in years because as you can see, even theiPhone 12 is beating out all of the other Android telephones. And it merely sucks to know that the only reasonthe iPhone lost in that 3DMark standard is because of the thermal throttling issues thatare limiting performance, so Apple could easily fall behind unless they fix these issues! But building things worse, the brand-new MediaTek9 000 chipping got a huge improvement in terms of multi-core CPU performance , now outperformingevery other Android phone chip on the market including the latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chip. But when we compare it to the iPhone, thenew MediaTek is the first chip to beat out the iPhone 12 lineup, and its precisely inchesaway from the performance of the iPhone 13 mini which is slower than the Pro becausethe smaller chassis has even more thermal throttling matters than the larger 13 Pro. So its kind of crazy to think that Mediatek, a company known for representing low-end microchips, just came out with their first iteration ofa genuine flagship microchip .. And its virtually neck and neck with Apples new A15 chip withinthe iPhone 13 mini .. And its all because Apple is struggling to keep the chip cool..Now, of course, Apples A1 6 chip next yearwill further their concert lead in both CPU and GPU assessments, but if they cant figureout a great cooling solution to stop these overheating problems, then theres a chancethat for the first time in MANY MANY times, they could actually fall behind their competitorswho are already implementing vapor assembly cooling systems. So hopefully you learned something new fromthis video, and if you disagree with any of my hopes, go ahead and note below, butif you enjoyed it, sounds that circle above to subscribe for more videos like this one!
